					<title>Sooner or Later</title>
					<link>http://danielghattas.net/blog.cfm?feature=1900246&amp;postid=593910</link>
<description>You&apos;re set, strong, determined and walking a straight line. You think you&apos;ve got all the angles figured out. You&apos;re moving ahead, making your way, more fearless by the minute. And then, like a sucker punch, it hits you out of nowhere. Before you even have time to realize what&apos;s happening, it&apos;s too late.

Of course, your old reflexes kick in at first. You&apos;re unsure, as you have learned to only trust your brain. You see red flags everywhere, because you live in a world of perceived danger. But you know, deep inside, that it&apos;s time to give your brain a rest and lead with your heart. Sooner or later, it happens, and when it does, you have no choice but to let go and enjoy the fall.

Sooner or Later
Lyrics and music by Daniel Ghattas.
Recorded, produced and mixed by Daniel Ghattas; mastered by Brian Lucey.

I&amp;rsquo;m not coming down this time
The truth is you were hard to find
And it&amp;rsquo;s time you know the truth
&amp;lsquo;Cause your kind is living proof

That sooner or later I&amp;rsquo;ll be found
Sooner or later coming down
Sooner or later we&amp;rsquo;ll begin
Out of nothingness and back again

Sooner or later I will fall
Sooner or later, afterall
Sooner or later we will meet
As a pair of strangers on the street

I surrender gracefully
As every wall of mine you breach
And it&amp;rsquo;s time you know the truth
&amp;lsquo;Cause your kind is living proof

That sooner or later
I&amp;rsquo;ll speak with my eyes
Making my way through this paradise

And sooner or later
I won&amp;rsquo;t have to fight
Give into you
&amp;lsquo;Cause you feel so right

					<title>Signs of Life</title>
					<link>http://danielghattas.net/blog.cfm?feature=1900246&amp;postid=605010</link>
<description>What if today is different? What if you decide to turn it around?

We&amp;rsquo;re all searching for truth. Some seek it through dedicating themselves to a cause or passion, others through science and religion. Some even seek it through numbing their senses in various ways. It takes a deep breath to get lost in a moment; a quiet understanding that both past and future are irrelevant. Your focus dissipates as you become aware of the signs of life which surround you. Your perception changes. This awareness is one of the purest forms of truth and beauty you may find. It is born from a moment of clarity.

I want to take you on a ride, somewhere deep inside. It may not be what you expect from me. It&amp;rsquo;s okay, don&amp;rsquo;t worry about musical genres. Open your mind and let the deep groove and spacey vibe cradle you. Once you&amp;rsquo;ve downloaded the song, press play, turn up the volume and close your eyes.

Signs of Life
Lyrics and music by Daniel Ghattas &amp;copy;. Recorded, produced and mixed by Daniel Ghattas; mastered by Phil Demetro.

I&amp;rsquo;m on a road to nowhere and I&amp;rsquo;m getting lost
I walk a line between falling and holding on
I won&amp;rsquo;t get down on my knees
Don&amp;rsquo;t need the pain to set me free

I&amp;rsquo;m figuring it out
As I stumble about
Life rushes through my veins
From the

Signs of life
I believe in
Signs of love
I&amp;rsquo;m receiving
Give me another day

I see clouds explode into a thunderstorm
I feel drops fall on me as they wash away
The memories of yesterday

I breathe in and float into the atmosphere
I breathe out and realize I have no fear

					<title>Can&apos;t Let Go</title>
					<link>http://danielghattas.net/blog.cfm?feature=1900246&amp;postid=605015</link>
<description>It happened when I came across her pink lipstick stain on one of my white shirts.

Somewhere in the electric storm of synapses and neurons within your brain, lie dormant memories of specific moments in time which define a period of your life. Every once in a while they are triggered by something or someone, or sometimes a phone number on your caller ID that resembles one that has been engraved in your memory.

You&apos;ve built a life on an island in the ocean and now realize, as you look back from your makeshift boat, that with every paddle stroke, you move further away from what was your home for the past few years. The sea is rough and occasional waves crash upon you, but you know there&apos;s no going back. Because eventually the island disappears from the horizon and you are left with the blue vastness of freedom. It surrounds you with the promise of endless possibilities. The sun shines hard and waters remain calm as a perfect moment of truth is born. And you accept it. Because you understand that the island you&apos;ve built hasn&apos;t been destroyed. It has simply been left behind, far away, never to be revisited. Your personal investment, love and dedication weren&apos;t in vain. The lessons you learned are pricless. Finally, the comfort of serenity fills you, and you learn to let go.

Writing and recording &amp;quot; Can&apos;t Let You Go&amp;quot; over the past few weeks has, ironically, helped me find this serenity. May it find you, wherever and whoever you are.

Can&amp;rsquo;t Let Go
Lyrics and music by Daniel Ghattas &amp;copy;. Recorded, produced and mixed by Daniel Ghattas; mastered by Luc Tellier.

So sad to leave you
Hope you get home in one piece
By the time this hits you
My scent will be your disease
I gave my best
But you just left me deceived

Forget about best friends
Throw out your white picket fence
If love is the end?
Then I&amp;rsquo;m the means to your plan
I know you feel me
When fingers run on your skin
Your hair, your lips, and all of the ways I knew you

Why do I try to forget you
&amp;lsquo;Cause I can&amp;rsquo;t let go, can&amp;rsquo;t let go
Pieces of you still remind me
That I can&amp;rsquo;t let go of you

Get rid of the good times
Watch them go down the drain
Kisses that don&amp;rsquo;t last
White lies that go to waste

We used to dream
That it would fall into place
But we fell from grace
And now we&amp;rsquo;re back to strangers

Why do I try to deny you
&amp;lsquo;Cause I can&amp;rsquo;t let go, can&amp;rsquo;t let go
Pieces of me live inside you
And I can&amp;rsquo;t let go of you

Like a car crash that I ran to
A mess that I tried to clean up
When the end came, thought I was ready
But I just can&amp;rsquo;t let go

Like a car crash that I ran to
A mess that I tried to clean up
When the end came, thought I was ready

					<title>&quot;Life&apos;s a journey, not a destination.&quot;</title>
					<link>http://danielghattas.net/blog.cfm?feature=1900246&amp;postid=605019</link>
<description>You&amp;rsquo;ll have to forgive me for my long overdue update, life got in the way. Just as seasons change from spring to summer, I feel reborn and filled with new perspective on who I am, what I truly want out of life and what&amp;rsquo;s important to me. During the past few months, I&amp;rsquo;ve realized that it is better to regret something you&amp;rsquo;ve done rather than something you never got the chance to do.

The easiest, safest and shortest route towards a destination is always the most tempting at first. It is one many people chose out of comfort and practicality. But what about the other road? The one with sections of smoothly paved surface and patches of gravel and dirt? The one with bumps, magnificent and inspiring scenery, obstacles, twists and turns, torrential rain and rainbow infused skies, but which ultimately is more rewarding in the end because it is earned through exploration? In the wise words of Aerosmith &amp;ldquo;life&amp;rsquo;s a journey, not a destination&amp;rdquo;. The experiences which pave this journey, occasionally littered with challenges, are what make being alive beautiful. Sometimes, we lose sight of this beauty as we become consumed with the notion of outcome and finality. Every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and sometimes these opportunities appear in unexpected ways and at the most surprising times. We forget that these opportunities are right around the corner or sometimes in our own backyard. Adventure, possibility, self-reliance, pride, ambition, love, friendship, family, music and art...PASSION is what life is all about. I&amp;rsquo;m alive today, are you?
